While it’s true that there’s probably no such thing as a perfect gig, or, for that matter, the perfect LP, King Crimson live in Toronto comes as close to that benchmark as it’s possible to get”.

For King Crimson fans, this Massey Hall release is the kind of record that reminds you why live albums matter. Captured in one of music’s most iconic venues, it provides the chance to hear beloved songs from a different angle. There’s a looseness and immediacy here that only comes from a live performance, with the artist and band feeding off the audience and pushing the music into new territory. Even fans who know every note of the studio recordings will find fresh moments to appreciate.

Pressed on vinyl for the first time and presented as a limited 2LP set as a Record Store Day First for 2026 Black Friday, 1974: Massey Hall, Toronto forms the second in the series of performances from the Fripp, Bruford, Wetton and Cross line-up.

Side A
Larks’ Tongues in Aspic: Part II
Lament
Exiles

Side B
Improv: The Golden Walnut
Fracture

Side C
Improv: Clueless and Slightly Slack
Easy Money
The Night Watch

Side D
Starless
21st Century Schizoid Man

The original concert running order has been altered for the vinyl release so that all of the music could be presented on this 2LP set.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0879/3004/4761/files/371748ba-1c58-4287-b44c-0b81b8a7a9b2.jpg?v=1791374704
https://mostlymusicstore.co.uk/products/king-crimson-1974-massey-hall-toronto-2lp-black-friday-pre-order-27-11-2026
