prince-controversy-lp-album-vinyl-record-2011-remastered-reissue-on-warner
Prince Controversy Vinyl LP

Controversy captures Prince at a pivotal moment, expanding the Minneapolis sound with sharper synths, political themes and a bold mix of funk, pop and new wave. Released in 1981, the album blends social commentary with Prince’s trademark sensuality, pushing his songwriting into more experimental territory while retaining the tight grooves that defined his early work. Lisa Coleman and Doctor Fink contribute key backing vocals and keyboard textures, adding depth to the album’s stripped yet punchy production. Featuring standout tracks such as Controversy, Sexuality, Do Me Baby and Let’s Work, this remastered reissue presents the album in a clean modern pressing that preserves its raw energy and forward‑thinking style.

TRACKLIST

Controversy

Sexuality

Do Me Baby

Private Joy

Ronnie Talk To Russia

Let’s Work

Annie Christian

Jack U Off

Features

Limited edition reissue

Remastered audio

Includes Controversy Sexuality Do Me Baby and Let’s Work

Minneapolis sound era Prince

Lisa Coleman and Doctor Fink contributions

Information

Artist Prince

Title Controversy

Format LP Album Limited Edition Reissue Remastered

Label Warner Bros Records Rhino Records

Catalogue Number 8122 79777 6

Barcode 8122797776

Country Europe

Released 20 June 2011

Genre Electronic Funk Soul

Style Synth Pop Funk Minneapolis Sound

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0879/3004/4761/files/57_4b5bdb66-e8ed-47f5-9be7-f8ba69bffe9d.jpg?v=1790953694
https://mostlymusicstore.co.uk/products/prince-controversy-lp-album-vinyl-record-2011-remastered-reissue-on-warner
