Chicken Shack are a British blues rock band formed in 1965 by Stan Webb, Andy Silvester and Alan Morley, later joined by Christine McVie, then known as Christine Perfect. Signed to the Blue Horizon label in 1967, the band became a key part of the British blues boom. In The Can, originally released in 1980, compiles material from their early years, with all but five tracks featuring Christine McVie on vocals and piano. She would go on to join Fleetwood Mac in July 1970, shortly after recording O.K. Ken? with Chicken Shack. This edition is issued as a limited run of 500 numbered copies on blue coloured vinyl.
