Freddie Hubbard Hub-Tones Vinyl LP

Hub‑Tones stands as one of Freddie Hubbard’s defining hard‑bop statements, recorded in 1962 and showcasing his fiery trumpet tone, inventive phrasing and strong compositional voice. Supported by James Spaulding, Herbie Hancock, Reggie Workman and Clifford Jarvis, Hubbard moves between lyrical standards and driving originals, with the title track and Lament For Booker highlighting his emotional range and technical command. This Blue Note 80 Vinyl Series reissue presents the album in 180 gram stereo, offering a clean, dynamic cut that preserves the clarity and punch of the original session. A cornerstone of Hubbard’s early catalogue.
