2014 NYC marks the beginning of a new King Crimson live compilation series, presenting performances from the band’s acclaimed 2014–2021 touring lineup. Drawn from multi‑track recordings captured during their electric four‑night run at the Best Buy Theatre, New York (18–21 September 2014), this set showcases the reborn seven‑piece Crimson with its groundbreaking three‑drummer frontline.
Featuring new sleevenotes by biographer Sid Smith, the collection highlights the band’s ability to reinvent its catalogue with precision, power and a renewed sense of purpose. Classics such as Starless, Larks’ Tongues In Aspic (Part II) and 21st Century Schizoid Man sit alongside modern-era pieces including A Scarcity of Miracles, The Light of Day and The Hell Hounds of Krim.
Presented across two CDs, this edition captures the intensity, detail and dynamic range of a lineup that reshaped the band’s live identity for a new generation.
