Ting, originally released in 1992, captures Dutch art‑pop innovators Nits in one of their most intimate and experimental phases. For this album the band stripped back their usual palette — piano and orchestral percussion replacing guitars and samples — creating a quiet, melancholic and poetic sound world.
Guest musicians contribute bass, cello and Klangsteine (musical stones crafted by Swiss sculptor Arthur Schneiter), adding unique textures from soft mallet strikes to resonant hand‑rubbed tones.
This 2025 Music On Vinyl edition is pressed on 180‑gram audiophile silver vinyl, limited to 500 numbered copies, and includes an exclusive insert featuring additional band‑supplied photographs. A beautifully presented reissue of one of the band’s most atmospheric and artful works.
