A beautifully strange and richly textured artefact of early‑70s German progressive music, Barock (1973) stands as the second and final album by Parzival — a group who fused acid folk, krautrock, baroque chamber instrumentation and experimental rock into something genuinely singular. Produced by Conny Plank, the record blends cello, flute, layered vocal harmonies and medieval‑tinged arrangements with psychedelic folk‑rock structures. The 2011 Sireena Records reissue restores the album on 180g vinyl, newly remastered and housed in a gatefold sleeve with the original Telefunken artwork faithfully reproduced.
