Prince Piano & A Microphone Vinyl LP

Piano & A Microphone 1983 captures Prince alone at the piano during an intimate rehearsal recording from 1983, offering a stripped-back glimpse into his songwriting and creative process. With only voice and piano at the centre, the recording moves naturally between developing ideas, familiar songs and spontaneous performances.

Featuring early versions of 17 Days, Purple Rain and Strange Relationship alongside a rendition of Joni Mitchell’s A Case Of You, the album provides a fascinating contrast to Prince’s elaborate studio productions. This 2018 European edition is presented on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl.
