The Gow‑Dow Experience is a powerful and politically charged jazz‑funk statement from Prof. James Benson, originally released in extremely limited quantities and long considered a lost treasure. Blending deep grooves, spiritual jazz influences and socially conscious themes, the album moves between fiery improvisation and reflective compositions. Jazzman’s Holy Grail Series reissue restores this rare recording with bonus tracks, alternate takes and improved sound, offering a definitive presentation of one of the most elusive and compelling underground jazz‑funk albums of its era.
