Led by Pauline Henry’s powerhouse vocals, The Chimes blends acid jazz, house, and soul with a distinctly UK groove. Includes the hit “1-2-3”, co-produced by Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B and Nellee Hooper, and their gospel-tinged R&B remake of U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, which reached #6 on the UK singles chart. A cult favourite and college radio staple, now finally reissued for collectors and crate diggers.
