In 1990, Andrew Ridgeley released his debut album Son Of Albert. After Wham! ended in 1986, George Michael pursued global stardom while Ridgeley moved to Monaco to begin a career as an auto racer. Four years later he returned with new music that leaned into hard rock influences, creating a sound very different from Wham!. The album produced several successes, including Red Dress which became a major hit in Australia, and Shake which charted in the UK. Red Dress was especially notable for featuring backing vocals by George Michael. This expanded edition marks the first vinyl release since 1990 and includes two full sides of extended and alternative tracks never previously available on vinyl. Son Of Albert is a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on silver coloured vinyl and includes an insert.
